Dr. Sara Nadeau
Doctor of Audiology | Co-Owner
Dr. Sara Nadeau earned her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders from the University of Rhode Island and then went on to earn her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Connecticut, Storrs. She holds certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology; and is a member-at-large for the Rhode Island Academy of Audiology.
Sara completed her graduate externship in New Haven, CT and came back to RI where she spent 9 years working for a large and busy ENT practice. During that time, she supervised both undergraduate and graduate students in the field and taught an introductory audiology course at the University of Rhode Island. She went on to be an Account Manager for a leading hearing aid manufacturer for the next 6 years where she traveled throughout New England supporting her peers.
Sara grew up with a mild, congenital hearing loss herself and spent many years at the audiologist. Not many third graders plan to “be an audiologist when they grow up” but Sara did. She would play audiologist with her stuffed animals and completed many school projects on the ear and audiology during her school-age years. Now she enjoys meeting new people and learning about who and what are important to them.
Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog along with friends and family. She loves spending time at the beach, going to concerts (with hearing protection, of course!) taking dance classes, and trying various types of exercise.

Our Reviews
"Very pleasant experience. Thorough and everyone is so friendly. No long wait to be seen. Need an appointment and, depending on your insurance, may need a referral. My ENT referred me to this audiologist. My ENT had already given me a hearing test and I took the results with me to the appointment so I didn't need another hearing test. My insurance provider, Neighborhood Health Integrity plan approved both hearing aids and paid for them. Hear for you accepts Neighborhood Health Integrity plan and other plans and forms of payment. I sat in her office and picked the color I wanted. Quick turnaround. I got a call a week or two later ( I forgot when but it was quick). She taught me how to use them, how to put them in my ears. Red tip right ear blue tip left ear. These are Bluetooth capable and can be adjusted from a phone app. You can also use a button on top of each hearing aid to manually adjust them. Left ear button lowers the volume and right ear button increases the volume. The app has many options and you can register your hearing aids in order to check out the different options available. She programed them on the computer according to my specific needs. I love them. Very easy to pair with your Bluetooth device ( my phone). Highly recommended. It had been a few years with my current hearing aids and it was time to get a new pair so I made an appointment to see them. Unfortunately I didn’t make the appointment as I was hospitalized with 2 serious illnesses. I planned to make a new appointment to make up for the missed appointment when I get out of the hospital. This time I plan to get inside ear hearing aids because the over the hearing aids kept slipping down the stem of my glasses. I don’t think they will be covered. Also want aids without a battery. I want them to recharge overnight otherwise you could get a pair that slides down the stem of your glasses and fiddling with those tiny batteries is a pain. I want the self charging ones. I have an appointment next week. 6/1926 I finally received my new Bluetooth hearing aids this week. The biggest thing was that I no longer need to change batteries as they come with a charger! One of my biggest problems with the older hearing aids was constantly having to buy batteries and tying to install these tiny batteries into a small door that you would need to open and put the new batteries in. Unfortunately after putting them in the charger after wearing them for the first day the hearing aids produced no sound no matter what attempts I made to pair them and re-charge them. They are showing as being connected to Bluetooth but despite all indications that they were connected I could not hear through them. Fortunately I have an appointment today to return them to my audiologist for an evaluation. She will attempt to get them working again and I suspect that she will succeed. I had excellent communication with Oticon support service despite the fact that it was on the Fourth of July weekend including Sunday. I look forward to hearing again from these excellent hearing aids."

"Hear For You has such a wonderful and generous team. My family wanted to give my late-grandfather’s hearing aids to a friend whose hearing aids broke. The Hear For You staff was incredibly compassionate and helpful through the entire process of cleaning and reconfiguring the hearing aids for my friend. Debbie and Dr. Sara Nadeau were understanding, professional, and kind. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience with Hear For You was, and I would highly recommend their office to anyone who requires audiology services. Thank you to the entire Hear For You staff."

"Hear For You has the kindest, most compassionate and caring staff. When my father-in-law passed away they helped us clean, check and reprogram his hearing aids to gift to my daughter’s friend who’s hearing aids had broken. We are so grateful for the entire office staff. Knowing we could help someone else in need with his hearing aids was a little light in our grief and Hear For You made that all possible. Thank you!"

In my experience, Hear for You offers the best customer service, quick appointment scheduling, on-time appointments, and careful listening to the patient's needs.
